After Operations: An installation of photographs exhibited in collaboration with Exposure Pathways, a site specific sculptural intervention by Sarah Lindley, in the former Plainwell Paper Mill along the Kalamazoo River Superfund Site from June 13th to July 19th, 2015. After producing paper for over 100 years the mill ceased production in 2000. In 2006 the City of Plainwell purchase the site and subsequently moved their offices in to a redeveloped area I the mill. Several of the vacant structures were demolished, while the historic buildings remain in a state of decline. Lindley and Nelson were given access in 2015 to explore these abandon spaces created works from their experience in response to the site and the surrounding environment.
Ripple Effect: An iteration of the Plainwell Paper Mill exhibition was mounted in the Federal Building Galleries of Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids Michigan from January 6th to Feburary 20th 2016.
